GPG’s AGM will take place on Thursday 16 September at 6pm.
We will either meet online (on zoom, via this link) or if circumstances allow switch to an in-person (preferably outdoor) meeting. Details will be updated if we do.
The formal AGM will be followed by a chance to catch up with the latest on current GPG projects – to conclude by 7.30pm.
We need no reminding that these are urgent times, in terms of our relationship to the environment. The role of groups like ours, working with our local community, will only get more vital. And so, we’re looking to grow.
We are on the look-out for new committee members. The committee meets monthly, and has members from school age and up, with a wide array of interests and experience. We’re really keen to recruit people with ideas, energy and skills which will help promote environmental awareness and achieve the kinds of practical projects which have become the hallmark of our recent work, from the Plastic Free Communities campaign to the setting up of Benthyg Penarth, and from Penarth Growing Community to the work we have done with our local schools.
A priority is the recruitment of a new Treasurer – and we’d be especially grateful for anyone who feels they could fulfill this role. No prior association with GPG is required. Most important is relevant knowledge and experience, for example in the charity sector.
If you are interested in joining us please get in touch – via facebook, twitter or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Whatever your interest in GPG’s work, we very much hope you’ll be able to join us on 16 September.
