During 2020 we got together to encourage growing opportunities across Penarth.
Despite lockdown restrictions we have been able to
- grow vegetables and herbs in the community space at West House (with support from Penarth Town Council);
- get a Fruit Garden for Golden Gates park, from Keep Wales Tidy’s Local Spaces for Nature programme;
- support Paul to create a Wildlife garden at Stanwell Crescent park, again thanks to Keep Wales Tidy’a Local Spaces for Nature programme;
- help Friends of Belle Vue Park plant their planters with flowers and herbs.

In March 2021 we launched our “Growing Together ~ Tyfu Gyda’n Gilydd” network to encourage people across Penarth to support growing and nature in their own gardens. You can sign-up on http://penarthgrowingcommunity.co.uk/growing-together-2021/
